Each of these runways has ten exit taxiways, with travel times ranging from two to eleven minutes. Advanced take-off and landing systems are installed to assist the aircraft in landing safely in all weather conditions with visibility of up to 350 meters.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport Main Terminal (KLIA)

Main Station

The main passenger terminal at KLIA is 390,000 m2 in size and is divided into five floors:
• M1 floor: This is where passengers can board high-speed trains or buses to Terminal T2. Convenience stores and snack shops are also available. Both sides of the station have exits to the parking lot.
• M2 floor: Food Garden, an ideal stop for affordable Malaysian and Southeast Asian cuisine.

Satellite Airport Terminal

The satellite terminal is 176,000 m2 in size, with a capacity of 20 million passengers per year and two floors:
• Floor 1: The boarding area for international passengers is divided into four zones: the western area with gates C1-C6 has an Aerotrain stop connecting to the terminal. T1: There are 21 boarding gates in the remaining three areas, East, South, and North. There is also an information desk, duty-free shops, and food outlets.

Passenger Terminal Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA 2 – T2)

Kuala Lumpur International Airport Passenger Terminal 2 is also known as KLIA2 or Kuala Lumpur Airport T2 Terminal. This is the world’s largest low-cost airline terminal, with a capacity of over 25 million passengers per year.
The floor area of the chicken house is 257,000 m2, which includes the Arrivals and Departures Halls in the Main Terminal, the Skybridge, the Satellite Terminal, and the connecting piers.

Arrival Hall – KLIA2 Main Terminal

The Arrival Hall is located on Level 2 of KLIA Passenger Terminal 2. After landing, proceed to the Arrival Hall to complete immigration and customs checks before exiting the terminal. There are also hotel reservation service counters, car rental counters, duty-free shopping shops, and so on.

Departure Hall – KLIA2 Main Terminal

The departure hall is on level 3 of KLIA Passenger Terminal 2. The Departure Hall is where passengers will drop off their luggage and complete the procedures to enter the boarding gate.
There are check-in and baggage claim counters, lounge areas, shopping outlets, and security checkpoints for domestic and international departures.
The departure hall is accessible via the walkway on Level 3 of the Gateway@klia2 shopping mall.


Skybridge connects KLIA2’s Main Passenger Terminal and Satellite Terminal in just five minutes, allowing passengers to travel between the two buildings in less than ten minutes. The sky bridge is divided into two sections: the third-floor walkway for incoming passengers and the third-floor walkway for outgoing passengers.

Satellite Airport Terminal

The satellite terminal at KLIA2 has two floors and is located at the end of the Skybridge:
• Second floor includes the transit lobby and the international piers P and Q exits. In addition, there are numerous shopping, dining, ATM, and phone charging kiosks.
• Third floor: This is where you’ll find duty-free shops, souvenir shops, currency converters, spas, bars, and so on.

Piers in KLIA2

  • Pier J is intended to handle domestic arrivals and departures. Pier J is on level 2, at the far left end of the departure hall.
  • Pier K: This pier is intended to serve domestic departures and arrivals. Pier K is at the far left end of the departure hall on Level 1A.
  • Pier L is intended to handle international arrivals and departures. For flight transfers, there is a transfer lobby near Pier L. Pier L is located on Level 2 in the departure hall, at the end of the public concourse.
  • Pier P is intended to serve international arrivals and departures. To get to Pier P, walk across the sky bridge from the departure hall to the satellite building. Go down to Level 2 of the Satellite Building and turn left to Pier P.
  • Pier Q (Pier Q): This pier is designed to handle international arrivals and departures. To get to Pier Q, walk across the sky bridge from the departure hall to the satellite building. Go down to Level 2 of the Satellite Building and walk straight to Pier Q.

Gateway@klia2 Complex

Gateway@klia2 is a shopping mall connected to T2, the main terminal building. There are four floors in the station:
• Level 1: The Transport Center area connecting the airport to the Express Rail Service, including bus, taxi, rental car, and personal vehicle pick-up and drop-off areas.
Bus and taxi ticket counters can be found here. Bandar Tasik Selatan, Nilai and Seremban, Johor, Malacca, and Perak are among the popular passenger bus routes.

• 2nd floor: A trendy and massive shopping mall right in the airport, with over 90 eateries and 110 retail stores. This floor also houses a ticket counter for KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit train services, as well as transit rooms and lounges.

• 2M floor: contains relaxation rooms, the Plaza Premium Lounge, the Aerotel Kuala Lumpur hotel, the food court, and some fast food restaurants such as McDonald’s, Nando’s, Texas Chicken, and Burger King, as well as some food shops. odd.
