  • Bus

An Express Aeropuerto (Airport Express) route connects the airport’s terminals T1, T2, and T4 to the city center. There will be one trip every 15 minutes during the day and one every 35 minutes at night. Fares range between 5 and 10 euros one way; travel time is 40 minutes.
It’s worth noting that “Metro Bus” tickets can be purchased at newspaper stands, tobacco shops, and subway stations. This ticket is good for both buses that enter the city.

  • Subway

Madrid Barajas Airport currently has metro stations that connect to the city center in all terminals. Line 8 (the pink train) takes about 12 minutes to get to the Nuevos Ministerios metro station in central Madrid. The one-way fare is approximately 5 euros.

Barcelona International Airport (BCN)

How to get from Barcelona international airport to the city center

Train
The RENFE train service runs approximately every 30 minutes from Barcelona Airport’s T1 and T2 terminals to the city center. Travel time is about 35 minutes/per trip. Trains operate from 6:00 to 23:00. Ticket price is 4 Euro/way.

Bus

  • Express bus – Aerobus: This is a bus route that connects Barcelona airport’s terminals T1 and T2 to the city center with a frequency of 10 minutes per trip. Travel time varies between 25 and 35 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. The bus runs from 05:35 to 01:00. (Monday – Sunday). Fares are 5.9 Euro one-way and 10.20 Euro round-trip (valid for 15 days); children under the age of four are free.
  • Airport Bus (TMB – No. 46): This bus route has a lot of stops and limited luggage space. However, with a fare of 2.4 Euros/way, this is the cheapest way to get to Barcelona’s city center. The bus runs from 04:50 to 23:50. Travel time ranges between 25 and 55 minutes (depending on traffic conditions), with a frequency of 38 minutes per trip.
  • Night buses (NitBus N17, N18, and N16): If you want to travel from Barcelona International Airport to the city center at night, take one of MOHN’s lines N17 (T1), N18 (T1), or N16 (T2A, T2B, and T2C). These bus routes have a fixed fare of 2.4 Euros per way. Each trip takes about 60 minutes. The night bus lines begin operations at 21:55 and end at 06:00

Subway
There is an orange subway line, L9 Sud, at the airport that runs directly into the city center with a frequency of 7 minutes per trip and travels in 35 minutes.

Trains run from 05:00 to 00:00. (Monday–Thursday; Saturday; public holidays). The train runs until 2:00 p.m. on Fridays and 24 hours a day on Sundays.
You cannot get to the airport using a regular, standard subway ticket or a T-Casual ticket. Instead, there is a fixed-price train ticket called the Billete Aeropuerto that costs 5.5 Euros one way.

Taxi
Taxi service in Barcelona is rated as good, safe, and convenient. The bus operates on July 27. Travel time is about 20–30 minutes per trip, depending on traffic conditions. The bus operates 24/7 with a price of 30 euros per trip (pick up at T1 terminal) and 35 euros per trip (pick up at T2 terminal).

Please note that there is an additional charge for taxis (3.1 Euro) for late-night travel or public holidays. All official Barcelona taxis are black and have yellow doors.
